Alpine streams fly fishing

Alpine streams produce, on average, smaller fish. However with less fishing pressure, fish will more readily take a fly. Lots of fish can be expected on these trips. Easy wading and mostly casting dry flies. It’s a recipe for a fun day. These rivers are friendly to the novice fisherman, while providing excellent fishing for the seasoned angler. The Highwood river

Watch as Dan and Evan fish the gin clear Highwood river. It’s not uncommon to have 18”+ Cutthroat and Rainbow trout rise to your dry fly. With most fish in the 14” to 16” range. If streamer fishing is your thing then we can focus on some of the big bull trout that inhabit the deeper stretches. Walk and wade trips are available on the Highwood.
